When the results of the 2026 national junior-high exam were announced, all five of Pingtung County's top scorers came from Nan Jung — a remarkable result that reflects the school's steady, whole-person approach to learning.
Across the graduating class the school posted the county's highest tally of 5A10+ results — the very top band — while in the writing test more than half of its students (53%) reached level five or above, and 92% reached level four or above. Students put their success down to disciplined revision, steady sleep, less time on their phones, and a daily habit of reading.
Their study tips were strikingly down-to-earth. Lan Tzu-chin followed the school's revision schedule “step by step,” kept regular sleep and cut screen time. Su Tung-ying found her weak spots through mock papers and asked teachers about essay technique. Nieh Yun-chi swore by an early-to-bed, early-to-rise routine and catching up at weekends; Cheng Yun-jou re-systematized her memory subjects and read widely for “knowledge and inspiration.” For Hsieh Chia-yun, the secret was simply perseverance: attentive in class, prompt revision afterwards, and asking whenever something was unclear.
Principal Wu Shu-hui pointed to the school's long emphasis on language and literacy — monthly reading certification, an annual literary award and handwriting competitions — and to an education that values character and the arts alongside academics, aiming to raise well-rounded citizens with an international outlook, a sense of social responsibility and genuine care for others.

その勉強法はどれも地に足のついたものでした。藍子欽さんは学校の復習計画を「一歩ずつ」着実にこなし、規則正しい睡眠とスマホ時間の削減を心がけたといいます。蘇彤穎さんは模擬試験で弱点を見つけて補強し、作文の書き方を先生に尋ねました。聶雲齊さんは早寝早起きを基本とし、遅れた分は週末に取り戻すと話します。鄭云媃さんは暗記科目を体系的に復習し、ふだんから幅広く読書して「知識と発想の糧」にしたとのこと。謝嘉芸さんにとっての秘訣は、ただ「続けること」――授業に集中し、こまめに復習し、わからない所はすぐ質問することでした。
南榮国民中学の呉淑惠校長は、毎月の愛読認証や年度文学賞、書写コンクールなど語文・読解を長く重視してきたこと、そして学力とともに品格・芸術を大切にする教育を挙げました。国際的視野と社会的責任、そして他者への思いやりを併せもつ、バランスのとれた市民を育てたいと語ります。
