A school that moved with the road, and kept its spirit.
Chaoshan Elementary celebrated its 66th anniversary in December 2024, putting its founding at around 1959. The school relocated from its original site more than 27 years ago when Zhonghua Road was widened, and its former campus later served briefly as an Indigenous Culture Park. Today Chaoshan sits close to Hsinchu's coastal fishing harbor and the Xiangshan Wetlands, and it has built a distinctive identity through its taiko drumming, track and field, and archery teams, plus a baseball team that placed in the 2024 Pineapple Cup. In March 2026 the school also completed a new "safe school-commute path," improving how students travel to and from campus.
朝山國小於2024年12月舉辦創校66週年慶祝活動，推算創校年約為民國48年（1959年）。因中華路拓寬工程，學校在27年前遷離原址，舊校地後來曾短暫作為原住民族文化園區使用。如今朝山國小鄰近新竹漁港與香山濕地，並以太鼓隊、田徑隊、射箭隊建立起鮮明特色，棒球隊更曾於2024年鳳梨盃取得佳績。2026年3月，學校也完成了新的「上下學安全通學步道」，提升學生上下學的安全。

Chaoshan Elementary sits especially close to Hsinchu's coastal fishing harbor and the Xiangshan Wetlands, placing it at the heart of the district's Minnan fishing-village heritage and tidal wetland ecology.
