On April 6, 2026, the LCOY Working Group of YOUNGO — the official Children and Youth Constituency of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change — formally approved Youth Network's application and endorsed LCOY Taiwan 2026.

2026 年 4 月 6 日,聯合國氣候變化綱要公約(UNFCCC)官方兒童及青年代表團 YOUNGO 的 LCOY 工作小組,正式核准 Youth Network 的申請,認可並支持 2026 LCOY Taiwan。

In 2026, only 113 countries worldwide are recognized by the UNFCCC as LCOY hosting organizers. As the sole host of LCOY Taiwan, we represent Taiwan in gathering voices across generations and communities — children, youth, elders, local action groups, Indigenous peoples and other key groups — so the world can see how Taiwan performs on climate and other global issues.

2026 年,全球僅有 113 個國家獲得聯合國氣候變化綱要公約(UNFCCC)認可,成為 LCOY 的主辦單位之一。作為 LCOY Taiwan 的唯一主辦方,我們將代表台灣,匯聚不同世代與多元族群的聲音,包含兒童、青年、長者、在地行動團體、原住民族及其他關鍵群體等,讓世界看到臺灣對於氣候變遷以及其他全球議題的表現。

On this platform, young people are given agency and influence (empowerment) — not just an honor, but a starting point for global-citizen literacy and cross-border collaboration.

在這個平台上,青年被賦予行動力與影響力(Empowerment)。這不僅是一份榮耀,更是一個培養全球公民素養、開啟跨國合作機會的重要起點。

Taiwan's National Youth Statement臺灣青年氣候宣言

A National Youth Statement is the policy report each country's young people write after their LCOY, based on local discussion and consensus. Every country's statement is merged into the Global Youth Statement, and during COP it is brought to roundtables between youth representatives and policy leaders — an important reference when young people and policymakers discuss climate policy.

「青年宣言」是各國在 LCOY(地方青年氣候大會)結束後,依據當地青年討論與共識所整理形成的政策倡議報告。各國青年宣言不僅會彙整並整合為全球青年氣候宣言,也將在 COP 期間提交至相關的青年與政策領導人圓桌會議,作為青年代表與政策制定者討論氣候政策時的重要參考依據。

In Taiwan's National Youth Statement, young people and children set out five priorities for action.在臺灣青年宣言裡面,我們列出了青年 5 大優先事項。

🚲Clean Air, Energy & Sustainable Transportation潔淨空氣、能源與永續交通

We urge Parties to establish Low Emission Zones (LEZs) in major commercial areas and school districts to reduce air pollution and protect public health. We urge Parties to support low-emission vehicles through financial assistance and use collected fees to improve public transportation and pedestrian safety.

我們呼籲各方在主要商業區及學校周邊設置「低排放區」(Low Emission Zones, LEZs),以降低空氣污染並保障公共健康。我們呼籲各方透過提供財務補助等方式,鼓勵低排放車輛的使用,並將所收取的相關費用投入公共運輸及行人安全設施的改善。

🌾Climate-Resilient Food & Agriculture氣候韌性糧食與農業

We urge Parties to reduce excessive dependence on long-distance food trade that can weaken local markets and support policies that prioritize resilient, sustainable, and community-centered agriculture.

我們呼籲各方降低對長距離糧食貿易的過度依賴,以避免削弱在地市場,並推動相關政策,優先支持具氣候韌性、永續且以社區為核心的農業發展。

🐻Biodiversity & Ecosystem Conservation生物多樣性與生態系保育

We urge Parties to turn unused school green spaces into habitats for native species through native plants and eco-ponds; also partner with schools to involve students in wildlife conservation and roadkill prevention.

我們呼籲各方善用校園內閒置的綠地空間,透過種植原生植物、設置生態池等方式,打造適合原生物種棲息的生態環境;同時與學校合作,讓學生參與野生動物保育及道路路殺防治等行動,培養學生對生物多樣性與生態保育的認識與實踐能力。

🤝Gender Equality & Social Inclusion性別平等與社會共融

We urge Parties to provide regular gender equality and diversity training in schools, universities, and workplaces. The solution can help address the gender gap.

我們呼籲各方在學校、大專院校及職場定期推動性別平等與多元共融教育,透過持續的培訓與宣導,提升社會對性別平等及多元議題的認識,縮小性別落差。

🌀Climate Resilience & Disaster Risk Reduction氣候韌性與災害風險降低

We urge Parties to strengthen public education on extreme weather and disaster preparedness. Schools and local governments should provide workshops, online resources, and public campaigns to teach communities how to respond to disasters and reduce climate risks.

我們呼籲各方加強極端氣候與防災準備的公共教育。學校與地方政府應提供工作坊、線上學習資源及公共宣導活動,協助社區建立面對災害的應變能力,降低氣候變遷所帶來的風險。
