A New Class Begins 一個新班級開跑

KangLang's English picture-book storytime is officially under way! Our special thanks to the Ya-Xiu Charity Foundation for its generous funding, which supports the school in opening this class and building an even better language-learning environment for our children.

槺榔國小英文繪本故事班正式開跑囉!特別感謝財團法人雅秀社會福利慈善基金會慷慨挹注經費,支持本校開設英文繪本故事班,為孩子們打造更優質的語言學習環境。

The key to language learning is meeting it early and moving step by step, following the principle of “listen and speak first, read and write later.” So this class is mainly for our younger and middle-grade students, and uses rich, lively English picture books as its teaching material.

語言學習的關鍵在於及早接觸與循序漸進,並遵循「先聽說、後讀寫」的原則。因此,本課程以本校中、低年級學生為主要對象,選用內容豐富、生動有趣的英文繪本作為教學媒材。

先有耳朵,才有書頁;先有故事,才有單字。

Growing English Ears 養出英文耳朵

Through stories that are magical, funny, silly, or thrilling, we guide children to slip naturally into an English world. In repeated listening and interaction, they build a feel for the language and train their “English ears.”

透過故事中魔幻、幽默、無厘頭或緊張刺激的情節,引導孩子自然融入英語情境,在反覆聆聽與互動中培養語感,訓練「英文耳朵」。

We hope that, in a relaxed and happy story atmosphere, children will come close to English, like English, and quietly build confidence and interest — and even start picking up English books on their own, so that reading becomes a window onto the world and a firm foundation for the language learning to come.

我們期盼透過輕鬆愉快的故事氛圍,讓孩子願意親近英文、喜歡英文,並在潛移默化中建立自信與興趣,更希望孩子能因此養成主動翻閱英文書籍的習慣,讓閱讀成為探索世界的一扇窗,為未來的語言學習奠定穩固基礎。
