A Taiwanese Song
Travels to Indonesia

For our second meeting with Indonesia, we did not bring more English sentences — we brought a song. Class 5B sang the Taiwanese Hokkien classic Bang Chhun Hong, and Class 5A played it on recorders.

Music Across the Sea

This was our second international exchange with KidsStar School in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. To share Taiwan's rich and varied culture, we prepared a special performance of the Hokkien classic Bang Chhun Hong (Longing for the Spring Breeze). Class 5B sang, Class 5A played the recorder, and together we introduced the song's history, its composer and lyricist, its style, and its lasting place in Taiwanese music.

A Bridge Built of Art

In return, the Indonesian students brought wonderful dancing and singing, and introduced their own traditional dances and folk instruments. Through their lively performance, we felt the color and energy of Indonesian culture.

This exchange showed us that connecting with the world is about more than practicing English. Through music, dance, and performance, we crossed the language barrier, shared our cultures, and made friends — art really is one of the most beautiful bridges between people.

“Art is one of the most beautiful bridges between people.”
