A hillside school on the district's northern edge.
Zhongtai Elementary School was founded in 1956 as a branch of Tunshan Elementary School, serving families living at the foot of Datun Mountain near the boundary with Sanzhi District. Its small size and rural setting have kept it closely tied to the surrounding farming community in Tamsui's northeastern hill country.
中泰國小創立於民國45年(1956年),原為屯山國小分校,服務大屯山山麓、鄰近三芝區的居民。校園規模小巧,座落於淡水東北山區,與周邊農村社區關係緊密。

🌱 Roots in a Larger School
源自屯山分校
Zhongtai began as a branch campus of Tunshan Elementary School, part of a broader pattern of small Tamsui hill schools growing out of larger "mother schools."
In the shadow of a volcano.
Zhongtai's hillside setting places it within the Datun Volcano Group foothills that ring northern Tamsui, a landscape of dormant volcanic peaks shared with neighboring Sanzhi and Beitou. See the New Taipei county page for more on the region.
