Zhongguang Elementary School was founded in 1922 as a branch of Dounan Public School, in Dounan's Jiangjun Village. In 2023 it became Taiwan's first nationally-designated Scout Education Experimental School, and its curriculum is built around outdoor education, disaster prevention, and environmental education. The school's shadow puppet troupe also won first place in the 2024 Yunlin County Creative Drama Competition.
重光國小創校於民國11年（1922年），原為斗南公學校分校，位於斗南鎮將軍里。2023年，學校成為全台首所國家級童軍教育實驗學校，課程以戶外教育、防災教育與環境教育為核心。學校的皮影戲團更於2024年獲得雲林縣創意戲劇比賽第一名。
