Yuxian Junior High School

Yuxian Junior High School was founded in 1955 as a branch of "新竹縣立新竹中學," initially borrowing facilities from Beimen Elementary School. It became independent in August 1956 as the "Hsinchu County Second Junior High School," with a new campus completed in 1958. The school was renamed "新竹縣立育賢國民中學" in 1968, and became a municipal school in 1982 when Hsinchu City was reorganized as a provincial city. As of late 2025 and into 2026, Yuxian is celebrating its 70th anniversary — seven decades of continuous educational service in the same East District neighborhood.

育賢國中創校於1955年（民國44年），初為「新竹縣立新竹中學」的分校，借用北門國小校舍上課。1956年（民國45年）8月獨立設校，更名為「新竹縣立第二初級中學」，1958年新校舍完工啟用。1968年改名為「新竹縣立育賢國民中學」，1982年新竹市改制為省轄市後，改為市立學校。截至2025年底至2026年，育賢國中正慶祝建校70週年——七十年來持續在同一個東區社區服務。
