Yongping Senior High was founded in 1971 as Taipei County Yongping Junior High School, and was upgraded to a senior high school in 1995. It remains one of only a few public senior high schools serving the densely populated Yonghe and Zhonghe urban area, and it still operates an attached junior high division on the same campus. The school has built a reputation for its international education programs.
永平高中創立於民國60年（1971年），原名「台北縣永平國民中學」，於民國84年（1995年）改制為高級中學。該校至今仍是服務永和、中和高密度都會區的少數公立高中之一，並於同一校園附設國中部。學校以國際教育課程建立起良好口碑。
