Grown from a branch class into a village school.
Yongle Elementary began on September 1, 1952, as a branch class of Haoxiu National School, becoming a full branch school in 1953. Under founding principal Wu Youxu, it became a fully independent school in 1957 as Changhua County Yongle National School, and was renamed Yongle National Elementary School in 1968 as part of Taiwan's broader school-system reform. Today the school runs a distinctive "cauliflower" (花椰菜) farm-to-table curriculum built around the area's signature local crop.
