Yongjing Elementary School

Yongjing Elementary was founded on December 15, 1898, as "Yongjing Public School," originally sited next to the Sanshan Guowang Temple on Yongjing Street — making it one of the oldest schools in the region. The school relocated to its current site in 1903, and over the following decades several branch schools, including Jiuquan, Haifenglun, Guanzhai, and Longzi, were spun off from it as the community grew. The school celebrated its 110th anniversary in 1996 and its 120th anniversary in 2018, and was recently recognized as a UNESCO Digital Leadership School in 2023, alongside honors for reading excellence.

永靖國小創立於1898年（明治31年）12月15日，最初名為「永靖公學校」，校址緊鄰永靖街的三山國王廟——是本地區歷史最悠久的學校之一。學校於1903年遷至現址，其後數十年間，包括菇村、海豐崙、崙仔等多所分校陸續由本校分設獨立。學校於1996年舉辦建校110週年慶典，2018年再度舉辦120週年慶典，並於2023年獲聯合國教科文組織肯定為數位領導學校，同時在閱讀教育上屢獲佳績。
