Nearly a century of agricultural education.
Founded in 1937 as "Taichung Prefecture Agricultural School" (臺中州立農業學校) under Japanese colonial rule, this school has for nearly a century trained generations of students in Taiwan's agricultural trades — reflecting central Taiwan's long-standing role as one of the island's major agricultural production regions. In 2014, the school became formally affiliated with National Chung Hsing University, adopting its present name and deepening ties between secondary agricultural vocational education and the university's agricultural and life-sciences programs. Today the school's Forestry Department manages nearly 100 hectares of practice forest, giving students hands-on training that few vocational high schools in Taiwan can match. Though closely tied to National Chung Hsing University, the school itself remains a senior vocational high school, not a university campus.
