Xindian Senior High opened in 1992 as Taiwan Provincial Hsin Tien Senior High School, on a 42,417-square-meter campus along Zhongyang Road in the historic heart of Xindian, near the river that gives the district its name. Today it enrolls around 1,824 students across 51 classes. The school established a dedicated music class in 1995 that remains one of its signature programs, and it maintains sister-school partnerships with institutions in Japan, Malaysia, and South Korea, giving students regular exposure to international exchange.
新店高中創立於民國81年（1992年），前身為臺灣省立新店高級中學，校園占地42,417平方公尺，座落於新店老城區中央路，緊鄰賦予地名由來的新店溪。目前全校約有1,824名學生、51個班級。學校自民國84年（1995年）設立音樂班，至今仍是其特色課程之一，並與日本、馬來西亞、韓國等地學校締結姊妹校，讓學生經常參與國際交流。
