A town school with a national badminton pipeline.
Xiluo Junior High was founded in 1946, shortly after Taiwan's retrocession, and took its current name in 1968 as part of the island-wide reorganization of junior high education. The school is best known today for its badminton program, established in 1986, which has developed into a noted feeder program for national-level players. Its athletic facilities grew alongside that success: a comprehensive sports gymnasium was completed in 1994, followed by a dedicated NT$20 million badminton facility that opened in 2012.
