A century of history, marked by a lasting gate.
Guangxing Elementary was founded on April 24, 1921, during the period of Japanese colonial rule in Taiwan, making it one of the older schools in the Xiluo area. A Shinto shrine once stood on campus during that era; after the war, the site was converted into a children's playground, but its torii gate remains standing today — a striking physical reminder of the school's layered history spanning more than a century.
