Anding Elementary was established in 1946, in the years following Taiwan's retrocession, and took its current name in 1968 during the island-wide reorganization of elementary education. In 2008, the school was recognized as an outstanding environmental education school, a distinction it has carried forward as part of its identity. Today it operates on a modest scale, with 11 regular classes plus one resource class serving the Henan Village community.
安定國小創校於民國35年（1946年），民國57年（1968年）配合學制改制更為現名。西元2008年，學校榮獲環境教育傑出學校殊榮，這項肯定至今仍是學校特色的一部分。目前學校規模不大，共設有11個普通班及1個資源班，服務河南里社區。
