A century-old campus with a colonial-era legacy.

Xihu Elementary was founded in 1902, giving it over 120 years of history and making it one of the oldest schools in the area. The campus features a Japanese-era school gate designed by Taiwan's Governor-General's Office, distinguished by dark green stone pillars and wrought-iron gates, along with what was reportedly the widest-span auditorium among Japanese-era Taiwan public schools, topped with a distinctive slate-blue tile roof. The school's guiding philosophy is captured in the saying, "lacking talent is not the issue; lacking a platform is" (不怕沒人才只怕沒舞台).
