Built for a growing town center.
Zhongzheng Elementary opened in 1976, one of several schools built in Xindian's town center during a period of rapid postwar population growth. The school is easily recognized by its heart-shaped badge, rendered in orange, red, green, and blue, with the characters "中正" at its center. Like its sibling schools from the same era, it continues to serve families in the older residential core of the district.
