Zhongxiao Junior High School's current site was originally home to Zhongxiao Elementary School from 1982 to 1997. The site then served as a temporary campus for Zhongshan Junior High School from 1997 to 1999, before Zhongxiao Junior High School was formally established there in 1999 under founding principal Wu Song-jiang.
忠孝國中現址原為忠孝國小校地（民國71年至86年，即1982年至1997年）。之後於民國86年至88年（1997年至1999年）作為中山國中的臨時校區，直到民國88年（1999年）忠孝國中正式設校，首任校長為吳松江。
