Zhang'an Elementary School was founded in 1955 and established an attached kindergarten in 2014. As the "parent" school that spun off a branch campus in 1963 — which grew into today's independent Baozhang Elementary School — Zhang'an reflects the mid-century pattern common across Xizhi, in which a single established school would seed satellite branch campuses as the district's population grew.
長安國小創立於民國44年（1955年），並於民國103年（2014年）設立附設幼兒園。作為母校，該校於民國52年（1963年）分出的分校後來獨立發展成今日的保長國小，這種由一所既有學校孕育衛星分校的模式，正是汐止區隨人口成長而常見的中世紀（民國中期）發展型態。
