Xinzhuang Elementary School

Xinzhuang Elementary opened in 1898, founded inside the historic Wenchang Temple beside the Dahan River, near what is now Xinzhuang Old Street. Over 125 years later, it remains the district's oldest school and its flagship "century-old school," now serving roughly 2,300 students across 79 regular classes and 3 special-education classes. Alongside its academic programs, the school is known for strong orchestras and choirs as well as traditional puppet-theater, lion-dance, and sports clubs.

新莊國小創立於1898年，最初設於基隆河畔（今大漢溪）的文昌祠內，鄰近今日的新莊老街。歷經超過125年，至今仍是新莊區歷史最悠久的學校，也是地方公認的「百年老校」代表，目前約有2,300名學生，共79個普通班與3個特教班。除了學科教育外，學校以管弦樂團、合唱團聞名，也設有傳統布袋戲、舞獅及各項運動社團。
