Xinhe Elementary opened in 1995, making it one of the newest elementary schools in Xindian. Interestingly, despite its name, the school is technically located in Yongping Li rather than Xinhe Li. Its founding reflects the suburban growth that took hold along the Anhe Road corridor of Xindian in the final years of the 20th century.
