Wenhua Elementary School opened on February 26, 1924, during the Japanese colonial era, as "Tamsui Girls' Public School" — a girls-only institution reflecting the gendered structure of early formal education in Taiwan. The school celebrated its 100th anniversary in May 2024 and, in 1960, spun off a branch that became Tiansheng Elementary School. It now sits on historic Zhenli Street alongside Tamsui's colonial-era landmarks.
文化國小創校於日治時期1924年2月26日，初名「淡水女子公學校」，為女子專屬學校，反映台灣早期正式教育的性別分流結構。學校於2024年5月歡慶建校百週年，並曾於民國49年（1960年）分出天生國小分校。現址位於真理街，鄰近淡水多處日治與清代歷史地標。
