Shimen Elementary School

Shimen Elementary was founded in 1946, in the years immediately following the end of Japanese colonial rule. A small rural coastal school, it brands itself on its own site as "Taiwan's northernmost happy school," a nod to its location near Cape Fuguijiao — the northernmost point of the island of Taiwan. The self-description reflects both civic pride and the school's genuinely remote, wind-swept coastal setting.

石門國小創立於民國35年（1946年），正值日治時期結束後不久。這是一所小型的濱海鄉村學校，官網上自稱為「台灣最北的快樂學校」，呼應其鄰近台灣本島最北端富貴角的地理位置。這樣的自我定位，既展現了地方的自豪感，也反映出學校真正身處風大偏遠的海濱環境。
