Sanhe Elementary School traces its roots to 1943, when it opened under Japanese rule as the Dingjiao Branch of Jinshan National School. It became independent in 1947 and has now operated continuously for more than 80 years, serving the Zhonghe, Lianghu, and Liugu villages of Jinshan — a cluster of small mountain and rural villages in the district's interior.
