A campus rebuilt around a bridge.
Guangxing Elementary was established in 1970 by splitting off from Sanguang Elementary School, immediately taking on more than 2,000 students as Sanchong's population continued to boom. The school marked its 55th anniversary in November 2024 with a campus that has since been completely rebuilt, adding two underground levels with 304 parking spaces beneath four above-ground floors. Guangxing now runs iPad-based mobile-learning programs and dedicated English-day activities, and its new buildings were deliberately designed around a "bridge" motif — a nod to Sanchong's nickname as the "City of Seven Bridges" linking it to Taipei.

The City of Seven Bridges.
Sanchong's nickname, the "City of Seven Bridges" (七橋之都), refers to the network of bridges connecting it across the Danshui River to Taipei — a theme so central to local identity that Guangxing built its rebuilt campus directly around a bridge motif. See the New Taipei county page for more on the region.
