Daping Elementary School

Daping Elementary School began as a branch classroom in 1922 and became independent as Daping Public School in 1926, during the Japanese colonial era. Sitting at roughly 400 meters elevation on the back side of Yangmingshan, the school is nicknamed "Yangmingshan's back garden," and its tiny campus — only about 0.7 hectares — makes it one of the smallest mountain-village schools in the Wanli area. Its setting embodies Wanli's dual identity as both a coastal fishing area and an upland farming community abutting Yangmingshan National Park.

大坪國小最初於日治時期民國11年（1922年）以分教場形式設立，民國15年（1926年）獨立設校，定名「大坪公學校」。學校座落於陽明山後山約海拔400公尺處，有「陽明山後花園」之稱，校地僅約0.7公頃，是萬里地區規模最小的山村學校之一。其地理位置正體現了萬里兼具沿海漁村與陽明山國家公園邊緣山區農村的雙重身分。
