Dacheng Elementary traces its roots to a 1939 language institute operating under Chengfu Public School, becoming an independent elementary school in 1947 and gaining full autonomy in 1961. Today it is a very small school of around 68 students in 6 classes, and it runs an active taiko drum club as a signature activity. The school celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2017, and for 17 years — until 2019 — it was home to a beloved campus dog named "A-Chou."
大成國小的歷史可追溯至民國28年（1939年）附設於成福公學校的國語講習所，民國36年（1947年）獨立設立國民學校，民國50年（1961年）取得完全自主地位。目前是一所僅約68名學生、6個班級的小型學校，並以太鼓社作為特色活動。學校於民國106年（2017年）慶祝建校70週年，校園中也曾有一隻深受喜愛的校犬「阿丑」，陪伴師生長達17年，直到2019年過世。
