崇德國小創立於民國61年（1972年），如今已成為汐止區規模較大的國小之一，截至民國111年（2022年）學生人數約1,253人。學校以螢火蟲生態教育及雙語／英語特色課程聞名，並曾入選天下雜誌「特色100小學」。其螢火蟲教育計畫正反映了汐止都市邊緣半鄉村化的環境特色——都市開發與自然溪流綠地在此並存。
