Wuqi Junior High opened in 1966 as the township's original public junior high school, and was renamed two years later, in 1968, into its present form. Beyond its regular daytime division, the school also runs an adult evening division and special education classes, reflecting a long-standing commitment to serving learners of every age and background in the old port community.
梧棲國中創立於民國55年（1966年），是梧棲地區最早設立的公立國中，並於兩年後的民國57年（1968年）更名為現今校名。除日間部一般班級外，學校亦開設成人補校夜間部與特殊教育班，展現長期以來服務各年齡層與不同需求學子的用心。
