Wugu Junior High School

Wugu Junior High opened in 1968, the year nine-year compulsory education launched nationwide in Taiwan, and remains the only junior high school in Wugu District. It started small, initially borrowing classrooms from neighboring Wugu Elementary School, and grew quickly — from 5 classes to 29 by 1975, and to 41 classes today. The campus was built on hillside land beside the former Wugu Township office, a location that reflects the district's transition from a farming township into an organized municipal district of New Taipei City.

五股國中創立於民國57年（1968年），正值全國實施九年國民義務教育之年，是五股區唯一的國中。創校初期借用鄰近五股國小的教室上課，班級數迅速成長——民國64年（1975年）達29班，如今已擴增至41班。校址座落於原五股鄉公所旁的山坡地，見證了五股從農業鄉鎮轉型為新北市轄下行政區的歷程。
