A school built on colonial-era foundations.

Wenshan Junior High was established in 1946, in the first full year after the end of Japanese rule, on a site in Xindian's Wenzhong (文中) neighborhood that had previously housed a branch of the Japanese-era Taipei Normal School's affiliated elementary school. The school's name and location are drawn directly from this neighborhood, linking it to Xindian's colonial-era education history. Its badge cleverly combines the characters "文" (wen) and "中" (zhong) with triangular shapes representing "山" (shan, mountain) — spelling out the school's own name in visual form.
