Built while borrowing a neighbor's classrooms.
Maguang Junior High School was officially approved on July 22, 1983. While its own campus was under construction, the school initially borrowed classrooms at Tuku Junior High. Campus groundbreaking took place in October 1984, and the school moved into its own buildings by October 1985. Located in Tuku Town's Nanping Village, Maguang serves a community whose identity is deeply tied to its traditional soy sauce breweries.
