廣福國小於民國74年（1985年）4月22日正式定名設校，起因是土城國小與清水國小已無法容納持續攀升的入學人數。學校座落於廣福路，位處昔日的農村聚落壁林，近期歡慶建校40週年，這個里程碑也反映出土城從農業鄉鎮逐步邁向現代台北盆地郊區的歷程。
