🌾 Named for a Qing-Era Village
校名源自清代村莊頭前庄
The school takes its name from Touqian Zhuang, a farming village renamed "Touqian" during Japanese-era administrative reforms in 1920 — the old settlement is now the site of the Touqian Industrial Park.
From rice paddies to factories.
The name Touqian traces back to Touqian Zhuang, a Qing-dynasty farming village that was renamed under Japanese-era administrative reform in 1920. That same ground is now home to the Touqian Industrial Park, tracing a direct line from rice paddies to factories over the past century. See the New Taipei county page for more on the region.
