Wufeng Elementary School

Wufeng Elementary School was founded in 1898, making it one of the oldest schools in the district and one of the earliest formal schools established in this part of central Taiwan. Today it is a large campus with roughly 1,456 students, drawing families from across Wufeng's town center. Like several other schools in the area, its buildings were rebuilt by the Tzu Chi Foundation after the 921 earthquake and reopened in 2001, giving this historic institution a modern campus to match its long history.

霧峰國小創立於1898年，是霧峰區歷史最悠久的學校之一，也是中台灣這一帶最早設立的正式學校之一。如今學校規模龐大，約有1,456名學生，學生來自霧峰市街周邊的眾多家庭。如同該地區其他數所學校，校舍在九二一大地震後由慈濟基金會重建，並於民國90年（2001年）重新啟用，為這所歷史悠久的學校注入了與其漫長校史相匹配的現代校園。
