A young school with an old-town neighbor.
Siwei Elementary was approved in 1990 and opened for classes in August 1992, part of the wave of new schools built as Beitun District's population grew along the Wenxin Road corridor. The campus sits near the old locality of Erfenpu, a pre-development hamlet whose name still marks the area's rural past. In 2006, the school took on a new civic role when it was designated Taichung City's Hakka Language Teaching Resource Center.
四維國小於1990年獲准設校，1992年8月正式開學，是北屯區文心路一帶人口成長下新建的學校之一。校址鄰近舊地名「二分埔」，仍保留著開發前的鄉村記憶。2006年，學校被指定為臺中市客語教學資源中心，承擔起新的公共角色。
