Renai Elementary opened in 1979 as a branch campus of Dapeng Elementary School, becoming fully independent in 1980. It was established to serve Beitun's rapidly growing residential population along Siping Road in the late 1970s. 仁愛國小於民國68年（1979年）以大鵬國小分校形式成立，民國69年（1980年）正式獨立設校，當初是為服務北屯區四平路一帶於1970年代末快速成長的居住人口而設立。如今學校以閱讀教育、國際教育、多元社團與表演藝術課程作為學生生活的重要部分。
