A school born from a growing neighborhood.
Liren Elementary School was established in 1988 to serve North District's continuing population growth. In its first year, the school borrowed classrooms from nearby Jianxing Elementary School while its own campus was under construction, before moving into its permanent home in 1989. The school's founding reflects North District's ongoing postwar pattern of subdividing school catchments as neighborhoods grew denser.
