From orchards to classrooms.

Jianxing Elementary began in 1957 as a branch campus of the century-old Duxing Elementary School, becoming its own school in 1959 as North District's population rapidly expanded in the postwar years. Before construction, the campus site was covered in bamboo groves and lychee orchards — a rural landscape that has since given way to one of North District's busy residential neighborhoods.
