Fuxing Elementary School

Fuxing Elementary was established in 1956, built to serve the children of Guangfu New Village, the newly constructed dormitory community for staff of the Taiwan Provincial Government. The school's founding is inseparable from that of the village next door, and the two have grown together for nearly seven decades — long after the provincial government itself moved on, leaving Guangfu New Village to become one of Wufeng's best-known heritage and arts destinations.

復興國小創立於民國45年（1956年），設立宗旨為服務新建的台灣省政府員工眷舍社區「光復新村」的孩童。學校的創立與隔壁社區的興建密不可分，兩者共同成長近七十年——即使省政府本身早已遷離，光復新村如今已成為霧峰最知名的文創與藝術景點之一。
