The mother school of an entire district.
Fengyuan Elementary School's history reaches back to 1898, when it began as a branch class before being reorganized later that year as Huludun Public School — the very first public school in what is now Fengyuan District. As the district's original school, it went on to spin off Ruisui, Nanyang, and Fengcun Elementary Schools as branch or independent campuses over the following decades, making it, in effect, the mother school of Fengyuan's entire elementary-education network.
