Tamkang University

Tamkang University was founded in 1950 (民國39年) as Tamkang College of English, making it Taiwan's oldest private institution of higher learning and the first private college established on the island. It has since grown into a comprehensive university with 11 colleges and 47 departments, operating across four campuses: the original Tamsui campus overlooking the Tamsui River, a Taipei City campus, the Lanyang campus in Yilan, and an online Cyber Campus for distance learning.

淡江大學創立於民國39年（1950年），初名「淡江英語專科學校」，是台灣歷史最悠久的私立高等學府，也是台灣第一所設立的私立學院。歷經多年發展，現今已成為擁有11個學院、47個學系的綜合性大學，並在四個校區辦學：俯瞰淡水河的淡水校區、台北校區、宜蘭蘭陽校區，以及提供遠距教學的線上「網路校區」。
