Daxing Elementary School

Daxing Elementary was established during Taiwan's Japanese colonial period as a public school near a former airfield and artillery fortification in Waibu, Fuxing Township. Its exact founding year is not documented in available records, but the school has marked a long string of milestones with published anniversary yearbooks for its 50th, 70th, 75th, 80th, 85th, and 90th anniversaries — suggesting roots stretching back to the early-to-mid 1930s. As of 2022, the school reinvented itself as a small forest-themed, ecology- and soccer-focused campus with 12 classes spread across more than 4 hectares of grounds, including Changhua County's first artificial turf soccer field.
