Born of a national education reform.
Sihu Junior High was founded in 1968, as Taiwan rolled out nine-year compulsory education nationwide, initially borrowing classrooms from Sihu Elementary School next door. Its Feisha division later split off to become the independent Feisha Junior High in 1972. In 1982, the school also opened a continuing-education program aimed at coastal-area adults who had missed out on schooling earlier in life.
