Shuntian Junior High School opened in 1992 to relieve overcrowding at Dajia Junior High as the population along the coastal Da'angang Road corridor grew. One of the newer junior highs in the district, it now runs band, dance, sports, and academic "excellence" honors classes.
順天國中創立於民國81年（1992年），因大安港路沿線人口成長而設立，用以紓解大甲國中的就學壓力。作為大甲區較新設立的國中之一，學校目前開設管樂班、舞蹈班、體育班及資優班等特色班級。
