誠正國小創校於民國43、44年間（約1954、1955年），近年舉辦建校70週年慶祝活動。學校位於水林鄉北端，緊鄰北港鎮與四湖鄉交界，地理位置介於兩種在地文化之間。除正規課程外，學校另開設英語會話、母語教學及防災教育課程，充實學生的學習內容。
