Shuangcheng Elementary began as a branch class of Ankeng Elementary in 1967, becoming an independent school the following year, in 1968. Located on Ankang Road in the Ankeng hill area, it shares its origins with the historic valley community also served by its parent school, Ankeng Elementary, reflecting the close-knit educational network that grew up in this part of Xindian.
雙城國小前身為安坑國小的分班，成立於民國56年（1967年），翌年（民國57年，1968年）獨立設校。校址位於安坑山谷地區的安康路，與母校安坑國小同屬這一帶歷史悠久的聚落網絡，反映出新店安坑地區緊密相連的教育發展脈絡。
