Shimen Experimental Junior High School

Shimen Experimental Junior High's predecessor school is believed to have been founded around 1968, though the exact original founding date is not confirmed by public sources. In 2021, the school transitioned to school-wide experimental education status, becoming New Taipei City's first junior high approved for this designation. It has since branded itself a "bilingual experimental school" and is developing an outdoor, ocean-proximity curriculum that takes advantage of Shimen's coastal setting near Taiwan's northernmost point.

石門實驗國中的前身校可能創立於1968年前後，但確切創校年份尚無法從公開資料中確認。學校於民國110年（2021年）轉型為全校型實驗教育學校，成為新北市第一所獲此核定的國中。學校如今以「雙語實驗學校」自我定位，並善用石門緊鄰台灣最北端的海岸地理，發展貼近海洋的戶外課程。
