石龜國小創校於民國8年（1919年），初名「他里霧公學校石龜溪分校」。學校位於斗南鎮石龜地區，服務周邊供應斗南批發市場稻米與蔬菜的農業聚落。2021年慶祝創校105週年，如今仍是一所小型鄉村學校，全校7班約102名學生，服務周邊五個村里。
